I am an orthopedic surgeon from China. Many orthopedic diseases are closely associated with changes in anatomical morphology. My research aims to investigate the impact of genetic variation, specifically single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs), on the shape and function of bone and soft tissue. This research is done in a broader collaboration between the orthopedic surgery department (Prof. Dr. Emmanuel Audenaert) and the Center for Medical Genetics (Prof. Dr. Bert Callewaert).
